There are few music producers today who are able to avoid the industry's branding, categorizations, boundaries and limitations. 32 Trakz, Founder and CEO of 32 Trakz Inc. is able to do so effortlessly without compromising craftsmanship and creativity. When you hear a 32 Trakz Inc. production there is an undeniable presence of what producers are suppose to create, MUSIC!
Aaron “32 Trakz” Jones, is a skilled and musically competent up and coming producer/composer/songwriter whose passion is to make music that delivers emotion. Although relatively new to the music industry, he has been diligently cultivating and perfecting his style of constructing quality productions for over 11 years. His reputation and work ethic sets him onto the path of attaining veteran status while still bringing a breath of fresh air to the music industry. Hailing from the south side of Chicago, this Atlanta-based producer is focused and driven to permanently place his footprints in the sands of music history and to one day, be mentioned in the likes of some of today's and yesterday’s musical greats.
His affinity for music began when he was just a baby boy with a constant curiosity for the eargasmic soul and R&B music he heard coming from his father’s ginormous, classic stereo speakers that had him hypnotized in his walker. With a Fisher-Price record player being one of his first and most prized possessions as a child, in the mid 1980’s his older brother, who was a local House Music DJ at the time, introduced him to the art of mixing and blending records. By the age of 7 he learned and understood how to cater to an audiences’ ear and how to keep a dance floor jumping continuously. It was then that he saw first hand how music affected people in a positive way. After being the go-to House DJ in his neighborhood for years, by the age of 15 his love for playing music evolved into a passion for creating it. With money accumulated from DJ’ing local parties, he saved enough to buy his first drum machine, an Akai MPC3000, which was the first domino that fell. He began producing tracks for various underground and local acts around Chicago. With heavy influences from the predecessors he grew up listening to, to the current Chi-Town hall-of-famers (The Infamous Westside Drama Ward, Common, Twista, Do or Die, Psychodrama, Triple Darkness, E.C. Illa, Newsense, The Legendary Traxter, and Crucial Conflict just to name a few) by the age of 18, Mr. 32 Trakz had a defined urban Chicago sound that set him apart from your typical “boom, bap” style beatsmith. But that was just phase 1 of his growth. After moving to Los Angeles in 2000 he began studying music and film production at the L.A. Recording School where he tapped into the L.A. underground hip-hop scene working with a large roster of unsigned hype. He perfected and polished his technique and ear while interning at various L.A. area recording studios witnessing some of the elite create musical magic before his eyes. In 2003 he was presented with the opportunity to produce a remix for DreamWorks recording artists JS. The remix of their single entitled “Ice Cream” was slated to be released, but due to the selling of the label in October of that year the remix single was never released. In 2004 he relocated to Atlanta, GA and formed the 32 Trakz Inc. imprint.
Today 32 Trakz is a professional at bringing different elements together that result in a unique and complimenting sound. His style of incorporating hard drums with infectious melodies gives him an edge that keeps his product fresh and new. He is no stranger to using dusty samples and classic drum breaks when creating music that makes your head knock, or creating cinematic orchestral compositions that blend cohesively with selected film scenes. Unsigned and hungry, one of this young Chicagoan’s major strengths is being versatile. His catalogue encompasses everything from Street Hip Hop, new and old styles of R&B, Commercial Pop Songs to Smooth R&B Ballads and even Rock/Dance tracks. Inspiration comes to him from many sources, but he sites the production precision and musicianship of producers such as Quincy Jones, Maurice White, Dr. Dre, DJ Quik and DJ Battlecat as some of his main influences.
