Kyle Thomas
Actor
Muskegon, MI
a rebel with a cause

Im a 23 year old former navy sailor, my dream is to become an actor and writer, and hopefully more someday.  I have studied acting my whole life and have been in numerous plays, now I need to take it to the next level, and hopefully this will help.  I also am a writer, I wrote for my school newspaper, yearbook, and I try to write a poem a day.  My favorite spot is going to the beach to write most of my poetry, since I feel my soul belongs at the beach, that is where my soul comes out in my words.  I am going to school to be a writer, I would love to be a sports writer someday, because those are my two biggest passions besides acting, so I figured I could do all three in one way or another.

Here is an example of one of my poems:
                                                   MY HEAVEN....

Sweet silhouettes of emotional madness
To caress, to touch, to taste her lips
This invisible woman who dissappears like a ghost
She stays around my life, not in it
And she is the one I love the most
It is not her fault she's gone
It was just her time to leave
The sun was rising
My nocturnal being evaporated
For she was here, and then she was gone
As only I could say, it was a moment in heaven
Not even eternity could erase her memory
It has tried, and it has failed
It is my gift
It is my curse
It is my life.....
my love.......
my heaven......

I guess I'll give you one more poem while I'm at it....

                                                 REBEL'S LAMENT

I am a barbarian for so many reasons
And yet I find it impossible to think of a good one
I let slip off my tongue whatever comes to mind
A flaw I have yet to overcome

To think of ways to change, a lifestyle to alter
Would be considered time well spent
To be strong, to conquer, just hoping not to falter
To not be taken by this whirlwind current

A current of lies and treason
Of not knowing who to trust
A rage of passion, or anger
As if watching you're life turn to dust

And now I must say,
I am afraid of the future
Of this future undecided
I AM AFRAID of the changes
Of this nation, UN-United......

CommentDear Kyle,

I would love to critique some of your poems...just message your poetry selections to me here on Nextcat message center and I will read what you have...it's always good to see an aspiring poet share work . The new one you just posted, Rebel's Lament is a cry for unity and it speaks of uncertainty in our ever-changing world, which is spot on...it's your generation who will change things for a better nation...all people accepted and loved...okay, so just hit my message link here on Nextcat and I will receive notice of the message...be well alway, Kyle.

Kindly,
Sage
