Hello!
I'm Charlie and I live in a suburb of Portland, Oregon (Gladstone). I'm interested in small acting parts and/or as an "extra" . I'm also interested in doing commercials, print ads and related projects. I have some experience as an extra and doing small acting/speaking roles.
Within the last year I started my long-time goal of becoming a movie extra and really enjoy it and would like to do more, as well as some more small speaking parts. Hopefully, I'll be able to get more formal acting training in the near future, so I can then go for bigger parts/roles. Currently I'm self-training by studying acting books and DVD's. In college, I had a couple of Cinema classes . I also have an interest in creative writing and writing comedy. I have performed once at the "open mike" at the local comedy club and didn't suck!
My favorite activities are swimming, watching movies, listening to music, playing on my new computer, and relaxing with my two great pet cats. I'm overweight now and I've just started working to get back into competive swimming shape. I've been a masters swimmer for 10 years, but haven't been able to swim much the last two years-which explains the weight gain.
I have two BS degrees and also have experience in public speaking and making group presentations. Prior to earning my 2nd degree, I worked 20 years in a brewery. Back in the 80's I was even a candidate for the Oregon House of Representatives. I also have experience in Media relations plus I did a summer internship as a Marketing & Public Relations representative.
