Born 1934, Stirling Scotland,

Left school at 15 to become apprentice painter,

Moved to London 1959,

Graduated at St. Martins School of Art 1964 (Painting Special),

Professional Cartoonist since 1984 on The Times, The Economist, The Telegraph, Private Eye, The Oldie and many others,

Ged is an addicted, compulsive painter, who draws and paints every day and night,

He still does the ‘odd’ cartoon for The Oldie magazine,

though cartooning has taken a back seat in favour of painting,

 “I’ve never given much thought or planning to my work, I just stand behind the pen or brush and watch it happen”

Ged was an old fashion artist & painter.
