HalfBreed™ is a writer and a rhymer. He’s a poet and a rapper. He is a hip hop artist who hails from the steel city of Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Ex Patti Labelle and Delfonics bassist, Ear Entertainment cofounder and HalfBreed Producer A. Nathan Grove has been quoted as saying “That boy can FLOW !...I believe what he says and can’t believe how well he says it” HalfBreed™ is known by his friends as Hoover. This name was originally given to him as a joke, poking fun at his assumed resemblance to a down-and-out drug addict in the movies. Like many other things throughout his life, HalfBreed decided to take the rotten lemons thrown in his general vicinity and make lemonade, thereby embracing and adopting the very name that was used to ridicule him as a child and prove that he is going to make something of himself. He thoroughly embraces both the light and the dark sides of his life and his art in an effort to understand that which makes him what he is today. HalfBreed™ is currently in the studio (in Philadelphia) winding down what has been a whirlwind of writing and recording with Executive Producers and industry insiders Dwayne “Vu” Watkins and A.”Unc” Nathan Grove. This being his first album release, he and his production company (Ear Entertainment), along with the help of other carefully selected producers, have created an abundance of new material to serve as the “apple tree” from which to pick the songs which will make up the quintessential debut release from the troubled youth and homeless teenage father turned prolific poet and scholar who “didn’t know he could rhyme”.
