As a Holistic Beautician and Artist, my mission is to bring beauty and health back to nature. All that we need to be vital and healthy is provided to us by the universe. The information has just been lost or forgotten. Fortunately with the invention of the internet, we are able to access information that previously required more time and energy to realize.

I continue to educate myself through observation, research and classes so that I can then educate my clients about natural alternatives to beauty care. My philosophy is simple:  If you don't understand or cannot pronounce the ingredients in your products, don't use them!  Face creams and cosmetics don't have to be synthetically processed in the lab to be good for your face. As a matter of fact, it is harder to decipher what you may be sensitive to if there are so many "man-made" ingredients involved in manufacturing that product. Don't forget that much money is spent by "pharmacies" to get you to buy the products on their shelves. Many nurturing beauty products can be concocted in your kitchen with what you already have at hand, such as olive oil, honey, oatmeal, etc. I go one step further and use organic ingredients as they contain no harmful pesticides. Better for you and the planet!

Many people wonder, "Why is it that there is so much cancer around us these days?" If we look at the foods, medicines, and products we use to "take care of ourselves", we can easily see that the proof is right in front of our faces. Do some research on Sodium Laurel Sulfates. They are in products you wouldn't expect. Besides being used in shampoos, soaps, toothpastes, etc., you can even find them in angel food cakes. We are ingesting ingredients that don't belong in the human body.

Is it easy to all of sudden change everything about our lives to go "natural"? Of course not. But I can help you make some small changes by giving you information and resources. Most of the knowledge of how to let nature help us live full, healthy lives has just been forgotten or pushed from our consciousness by large chemical producing companies. Do some research on Dandelions and their medicinal characteristics. Why do they make themselves so apparent and abundant? They are here for our health and yet someone convinced us that they make the lawn imperfect and so we must erradicate them with dangerous chemicals that require warning labels. Perhaps it's the big pharmacutical companies that have fed us this misinformation so that we feel we need what they produce instead of just utilizing what's growing in our yards for healing. These big companies cannot make money off consumers if we are using plants that grow all around us for maintaining health.

While I am not suggesting that you throw away your "pills", I am suggesting that you investigate and inform yourself as to what you are using and start asking your doctors for more information about natural alternatives. 

As a Holistic Beautician, I want to assist my clients in taking responsibility for what they use and ingest as part of their beauty regime. Not only does this benefit us on a personal level, but it gets us to care about what we are doing to the earth which provides for us in ways we cannot imagine. While it's not a process without flaws, it still is a process.
