While working as a radio DJ/Board Op, Clayton earned his Bachelors of Arts in Film Video and Media Studies from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo (class of '05).  The focus of this program was largely documentary and news broadcasting.  He minored in psychology. 

Upon graduation Clayton desired to strengthen his knowledge of commercial narrative film, and he began his Masters of Fine Arts studies in Film and Television Production, Writing/Directing focus, at the Academy of Art University of San Francisco (class of '08).  While here he did several one-on-one mentorships with the professionals who make up the staff of this amazing film program, which focuses heavily on story development and independent film production.

While living in the Bay area Clayton's done a verity of freelance Videography and Final Cut Pro Editing work: web/broadband production, music videos, weddings, and DVD distribution.  In addition, he's directed several of his own short films, a Public Service Announcement for a YMCA program, and he co-produced a documentary that aired at the San Francisco International Film Festival.

Having recently graduated again, Clayton is now setingout to begin his career.  Realizing that this may require relocation, and he's ready for whatever the futrer may bring.

 Clayton owns a Sony HDR-FX1 camera, dolly + track, and a PowerMac G5 with Final Cut Pro and related software.   On September 22, 2008 Clayton earned a FCP certificate by completing the Larry Jordan "Succeeding in the New World of Tapless & HD Video" course.
