Just when you think you know the vibes of soul, funk is at its top and headbangin’ is the only way to loose your mind on ROCK music….meet a band named RIVE! Charismatic he is! Front man and lead singer Rivelino Rigters knows how to entertain and get to a crowd. With his raw kind of soulful voice he energizes the entire stage.You might hear something like Lenny Kravitz… or maybe The Roots…wait… a little Ben Harper around? Yes all true, somewhere in between, above and beyond all this with a little bit of Hip Hop, Jazz, Reggae and even Dance Hall, thàt’s Rivelino! It has taken more then 10 years of an individual journey through the land of music and entertainment, after Rivelino “Blackrockstar” decided it was about time to exchange a land full of ‘here and there’ musicians for a wicked flashy band! In December 2007 the formation of RIVE (pronounce as reef) was a fact. Former Kane-drummer* Sammy de Fretes “Slammy” expanded his passion for rock in the years playing with the Chronicle Kings. Stirs up this passion for rock with his love for soul with the Bahaya Urban Live band and also seems to find the time to slam the artists of the Chineese Songfestival to a higher level. Together with Michael Coomans “Miko” who has left his marks deep in to the Sealand soil with his remarkable guitar sound, combining heavy soul with ripping rock riffs, and bass player Dimitri Vijber “Da Viber” from Gospel Inc. this UrbanRockBand, they’re pumped up with adrenaline which no one can deny the coming years! The individual success of the band members has to continue in 2008 with the release of their debutalbum RaWtentik, the first album that RIVE will release coming fall. RaWtentiK represents the raw “you”, going back to your roots, “back to basics” and what’s left is real and pure: the unrevealed truth…….. As a preview of this all, this spring an EP will be released with which the band wants to give a glance behind the scenes. This whole summer RIVE hopes to travel throughout the country to rock, touch and inspire! Only a month together and RIVE already placed themselves to write a soundtrack for the new Dutch Motion picture ‘Deal’ after the jury and the audience anonymously chose them as winner!The blanc track record of success is ready to be written by RIVE !!Management:
