The 2nd annual Southern Winds Film Festival announces a call for entries. First deadline is February 1, 2008. The Festival will be held September 11th-14th of 2008. In the historic heart of downtown Shawnee, Oklahoma this will be our second year of operation. The Southern Winds Film Festival was created to promote emerging independent filmmakers, foster an environment of interaction and exposure in the filmmaking craft, and bring the passion of filmmaking to the Shawnee, Oklahoma community. Narrative Feature Anything over 45 minutes in length.
Documentary Feature Documentary of any genre over 45 minutes in length.
Narrative Short Short films are under 45 minutes in length.
Documentary Short Documentary Shorts are under 60 minutes in length.
Animation NEW CATEGORY! Animated films may be in any style or form of animation, ie. computer generated, hand drawn, stop motion, etc.
Music Video NEW CATEGORY! Music Videos must be original pieces of work. The submitting agency, company or individual must have the rights to use the music. Music videos cannot be videos put to music owned or copyrighted by someone else.
