Beginning in the folk scene of the 60s, Stephen wrote for "Boston Sound" centerpiece Orpheus, and sang lead on that band's fourth album. He has recorded a number of albums. Orpheus reformed two years ago as orpheus Reborn.  A life-long social-political activist, he is president of Lakota Kidz, a non-profit dedicated to the struggle for Native American equalitry. A free-lance journalist, he is currently working on his first novel.
