Born and raised on the east side streets of Compton/Watts, California "Yung Bruh" a.k.a. "Y.B." began embarking on his path toward rap greatness at the age of 6 under the careful watch and supervision of his older brother "Kam" the West Coast Rap Legend who in the early 90's took the streets of Southern California by storm with his unwavering sociopolitical stance and a hardcore delivery. It was on this foundation that Yung Bruh learned to develop and harness his craft, and was given his first shot at the mic in 1993 on Kam's debut album entitled "Neva Again". This small taste of stardom inspired the young pupil to pursue his passion for music more heavily, but was later side tracked by his 1st love, "Football". Ironically it was through football where Yung Bruh met his friend and former rap partner, "The Game" playing for the Compton Oilers Midget Division. Five years later Yung Bruh and The Game crossed paths once more at a local city college and formed a group called "The Konference" which was later changed to "The Starters" in the years 2000/2001.Yung Bruh was forced to put his rap dreams aside once more after receiving a full scholarship to the University of Oregon to play football. Although Yung Bruh was away from home and no longer under the wing of his big brother Kam or recording with Game, he never gave up on his passion. The younger brother often participated in freestyle battles at 104.7kduck, Oregon's most popular radio station. He crushed every opponent in his path with vicious punch lines and a juggernaut like delivery. He also made a theme song for the University of Oregon called "UO" which remained 104.7's "pump it or dump it" champion for 3 months, beating the likes of 50cent and Nelly to name a few, also earning him wide spread recognition in Oregon on "Fox Sports News". Coming into his senior season at Oregon an untimely and unfortunate event occurred involving Yung Bruh's mother causing him to forego his senior season and return home. Seven months after his return Yung Bruh's mother passes away. He then decides to take on the rap game full time. Yung Bruh recently dropped his first mixtape called "West Nile Vol.1" late in December 2006 that was hosted by Dj Warrior and Kam. The mixtape features: Eazy-E, D.O.C., Dj Pooh, Yo-Yo, G-Malone, Damani, Spider Loc, Bishop Lamont, Tank, King Tech, Kokane, and many more. Yung Bruh is currently in the studio working with older brother Kam on his Debut Album, as well as the "WestNile Mixtape Vol.2", several independent films, and his most consistent role as Kam's 'right hand man' on stage. Just as Kam is a Certified Pioneer of West Coast Rap, so it is with Y.B. as one of the Front-runners of the "New West" Movement!
