I am a Washingtonian, born and raised in the DC metro area. I am a aspiring Plus Model, Dancer, Actress and Fashion Show Producer. I've been inspired by so many positive people in my community, on TV and those who I have worked with. I love music, it makes me wanna dance- dance in a way as if I were playing the song with my body. I also like acting, it helps me to express myself- the art of acting and being able to connect with different personalities and feelings, is a great experience. I started GlamourPlus in hopes of inspiring other full figured women to love themselves as they are- this came to me when my mind and spirit were at rest. I am a aspiring plus model- I was inspired by Plus Size divas such as Mo'Nique, Queen Latifah and a number of others who are active in the plus size community and have developed modeling opportunities and fashionable clothing, beauty pageants and other opportunities for plus size women to shine and feel even more fabulous about themselves. I've gained a new level of self esteem from life experiences, that have helped me to love and appreciate myself as a whole- not just some of my best features. From those experiences and the invaluable support from my husband, I have developed the confidence and strive to go for what I believe in and in return, I hope to aspire others and continue to be active in the plus size movement. With this, I will continue to look for ways to create opportuinites for plus size women- I've had the opportunity to work with others in producing my first fashion show (Curvy Couture, 2008)- it was a learning experience, alot of work and at the same time it was exciting. At the end, to see the ideas come to life and everything just fell in place- that was a great reward. It brought out something new in me, a new way to express and share.
