CommentThank you Alana. I'm glad you like my music. That means a lot to me. Most of my music begins on my guitar or in my head. I can transcribe the music I'm hearing in my head directly to the computer without the help of an instrument. Sometimes I come up with music on the guitar. On my profile the only piece that wasn't generated by computer is 'Christmas In Arlington'. That's me playing 2 guitar tracks straight into the board. Keep in touch. It's great to be connected with you.

CommentDon't get me wrong, Alana. While Facebook has its foibles, it still seems to be collecting LinkedIn users who are looking to take the "social networking utility" into more of a business setting and are beginning to do so. Are there still time wasters? As my friends from Minnesota would say, "You betcha!"

LinkedIn, depending upon how you view it seems to be holding steady. It is currently the most formidable business networking utility out there, but as I heard it referred to earlier today, it "takes the bad habits of networking and makes them worse".

I look at networking much in the way one looks at investments (they're much in the same). Everyone wants ROI for their money and time (in most cases with networking, time is the biggest investment) and every network is lilke a mutual/bond/hedge fund. They come and go in relevance, and it is up to us to determine which networks we choose to keep in our portfolios at any given time.

All my best,

Adam

CommentActually Alana, Nextcat is pretty cool so far.

I like the community of writers, artists, etc. - there seems to be a nice friendly environment, much like Facebook, but without much of the "cornballishness".

The question is always...how are people using this site? What kind of results are they getting?

You asked the question, I gave you an answer!

All my best,

Adam
