Ana Vaz started studying classical ballet when she was four (1986). During this period she danced many classical and modern productions of Stúdio Dançarte in Goiânia, Brazil. She had also participated in festivals and events as a ballerina before going to college by the age of sixteen. As a theater student at UnB-University of Brasília (graduated in 2003) she performed in many theater productions. Ana worked with theater companies in the capital of Brazil (Brasília); acted in the short film “Rastro” exhibited in the national famous 35º Festival de Brasília do cinema brasileiro; worked with acting and modeling for Scouting and Mega Model when she launched campaigns for various companies, including Banco do Brasil, Caixa Econômica Federal, Ministério do Trabalho, CESPE, SESI, Faculdades IESB and UNEB. Ana has worked as a life figure model for visual artists and studied several such as clown, acrobacy and contemporary dance in order to improve her acting. After a strong interest for modern/contemporary dance, Ana joined A.S.Q. company of contemporary dance, a relevant company in Brasília, with which she composed and presented two shows and three performances for events. During the year of 2004, she taught classical ballet for kids at Centro de Artes Claude Debussy in Brasília, Brazil and recently in early 2008 at Brandi Rae’s school of dance in Framinghan, Massachusets. In 2007 Ana Vaz also acted in the short film “Fast comfort food” shot in Massachusets and directed by Bobby Thompson. Since june 2008 she has been working with Ponto de Partida, a brazilian theater group performing and teaching for the local brazilian community.
