Angie was born in Virginia in the Appalachian mountains. Her father is a preacher. She is the middle of 5 children. She studied pharmacy at University. Was discovered as a model on the street in Philadelphia and became very successful, appearing on covers of magazines such as Elle, Marie Claire, I.D. and Cosmopolitan. She has worked with photographers such as Albert Watson, Terence Donovan, Peter Lindbergh, Gilles Bensimmon, Ellen Von Unwerth and was a favorite of David Bailey. Her first fashion show was Jean Paul Gaultier and Gaultier copied her short bleach blonde crew cut which he has worn ever since.
