Eliyannah A. Yisrael understands that success comes to those who put God first in their lives. For this reason she strives to give thanks to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and give daily praises to his holy name. She understands that no man can live successfully on an island by him or herself, therefore; she constantly strives to involve the talents of others in her creations and form partnering relationships with other organizations whose mission is also affirmative. In a diligent effort to remain humble herself, Eliyannah thanks her family, friends, and peers for embracing her mission, for contributing to her talent and for sharing their talents and skills with her latest venture, Remaining Humble Productions

Eliyannah has been involved in theatre since she was 12 when she did an improvisational performance at her 8th grade luncheon. It was no surprise to her family and teachers, who knew that drama was deeply rooted in her very being. The following year she was chosen to perform a one-person dramatization, for the high school graduation at her school. Using three different hats and moving from chair to chair, Eliyannah successfully told the story of a young girl who was struggling with completing high school as well as frazzled by an adverse relationship with her mother. She played the young girl, her teacher, and her mother simultaneously by moving to a different chair and wearing a different hat. The audience was again in awe of her talents, especially since the time that went into pulling it off was limited.

In 1999, she was a featured guest on a UPN special about date rape. She has studied drama at ETA Theater of The Arts as well as Chicago State University where she graduated in May of 2006. She played the role of Sharefa in The Grandmama Tree at ETA in the spring of 2000. In the summer of 2003, Eliyannah was the assistant TD at the North Carolina School for the Arts as a part of the National Black Theatre Festival. She is thrilled to be a part of any production that is clean and wholesome.   In 2004, A Raisin in the Sun was Eliyannah’s directorial debut. She further exhibited her talents as the strong and courageous family matriarch, Mama in the production.   In 2006, she wrote, produced, and directed Fall in Line, a film which depicts a source of disparity in America’s high schools. Eliyannah also starred in Procrastination at it’s Finest, a 2006 film that is a cry to students and young people about the woes of waiting until the last minute.

In the near future, Eliyannah hopes to establish a not-for-profit organization, Remaining Humble Productions. The vision of the organization is to enhance and create an art that is elegant and unique while also picking up the torch of prominent artists to uplift the minds of the younger generation and to empower women. Her audience will be centrally young people in the hip-hop era who are negatively influenced by the media. The initial idea of the organization is rooted from humble beginnings; consequently it is Eliyannah’s vision to continue to remain true to her roots throughout the organization’s maturity and growth. She looks forward to influencing young people and helping to transform their lives through film and the development of ideas and concepts they find of high interest. She has created her own motto, that is, “Reality is merely a general consensus”. Eliyannah has committed her life and her work to helping to modify the reality of the younger generation. She is currently an MFA candidate at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California pursuing a degree in film production.
