Pixie Monroe is the high-energy CEO / founder of Monroe Casting and Production Services, Inc. Under her knowledgeable eye, she has overseen casting for everything from high-impact blockbusters to modest, independent productions. Starting out as a casting associate, Pixie quickly rose through the ranks to become involved with projects like Tuck Everlasting for Disney, Minority Report for Steven Spielberg, and “America’s Most Wanted” for Fox Television. After a few years of working in the industry, Pixie successfully opened her own casting agency, and has been busily casting everything from print campaigns to Oscar qualifier. An active member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Local #399 Casting Directors Union and the Commercial Casting Directors Association, Pixie also finds time to serve on the Board of Directors for the Association of Women in Radio and Television, bringing her unique vision and presence to the group. In her private life, she is fiercely dedicated to raising funds and awareness for various charities she has been supporting since childhood. Presently, Pixie has her hands full with the stage production of Tommy, the follow up to her extremely successful collaboration of Chess, with Broadway’s Brian Purcell for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, as well as a TV show, Tag My Space (Tat on the Wall Productions), and various specials and commercials as well as multiple short films for the Jewish Impact Film Fellowship. Most recently, she was tapped to work on the newly reimagined pilot of the 70’s sitcom, Green Acres (Para-Scope Productions), with veteran TV helmer Richard L. Bare.
