She started off this bright eyed little girl with a big voice and an even bigger dream. From as far back as she can remember all she wanted to do was sing. Born Carla Allen this Detroit native has fresh raw talent, with a style unlike any other out there. Combining Soul, Jazz, Hip Hop, yesterdays and todays R&B. With musical influences ranging from the late great Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Sam Cooke, Al Green, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin and the queen of hip hop soul herself Mary J. Blige. Being the product of a dentist and a Chrysler plant employee turned Wayne County Sheriff, brains and hard work are just a few of the many things that Rayn is made of. Rayn began sharing her talents in the church choir, school choir, talent shows, weddings and funerals. It was obvious to anyone who heard her voice, and knew her as a person, that she possessed all the qualities to really turn her life long dream into a reality. As a teenager Rayn was introduced to the professional world of the music industry, securing her first meeting with at the time one of the hottest urban music record labels in the business. Due to record label changes nothing ever materialized and Rayn learned her first valuable lesson in this difficult but exciting business. Walking away from the situation stronger and wiser, she held her head up and kept it moving. She now understood why it takes so much more than a good look and a pretty voice to turn her talents into success. Facing lifes ups and downs as a young woman she discovered yet another talent. So natural was the way she began to express herself through words and melodies, making you the listener feel each and every emotion she felt. Constantly writing and recording Rayn is more than ready. She knows what she wants, and how she will go about getting it. With her persistence and fearless attitude, it is without a doubt she will make it all the way.
