In addition to having fun acting, Blake is a veracious reader consuming books like they were donuts, a “foodie” winning several baking competitions including the Jiffy Bake-off (beating all the adults too), swimming for Chelsea Aquatic Club and the school swim team, the center on the school football team, part of the youth group at Chelsea First United Methodist Church, member of SRSLY (drinking and drug prevention program volunteer), plays the violin, and an active member of the school science team - Science Olympiad (winning several medals in the 2009 school year).
Blake has volunteered for diversity groups, missions in Africa, and the American Red Cross - Hurricane Katrina efforts. Summer 2009, Blake is again teaching Vacation Bible School to 21 kindergartners!
He mows lawns for neighbors, baby-sits, and has published children's book reviews for Cranesbill Books.
