BLAK GUHL IS COMING! ARE YOU READY?

I am a 25 year old singer,songwriter,arranger, and lyricist, I originally hail from Louisville, Kentucky, but I consider Alabama home. As I like to put it, " Although the Ky is where I was born and raised, Bama is the place where my soul was blazed and grazed!" I have been involved in the performing arts since the age of 5. Whether it be singing, dancing, playing the violin, or acting. Entertaining is in me, but I never wanted to do anything with the gifts that God gave me until recently. I feel music with every fiber of my being. God put this new found love of music in me for a reason. As a result I currently have my first album lyrically complete which took me two weeks to write from beginning to end and 7 songs deep into my second album. The 12 songs on the first album are a true reflection of a five year period in my life and the trials and tribulations I went through in order to find out who I was as a young woman. My style of music reflects the eclectic musical influences that I have ranging from God Ausar, Nina Simone, Earth, Wind & Fire, Bob Marley to Lil' Wayne to name a few. Like my musical influences, I too am eclectic in the sense that I don't like to be placed in a box. I'm intelligent, world traveled, down to earth, college educated, gansta, and hood all in one. I'm going to give the world something that have never seen before. I want to invoke in the minds of the youth there is more to life than what you see on television and bring the truth back to the music. I don't want to be a Rhythm and Blues singer, but rather a Rhythm and Soul singer! I'm going to bring GLOBAL AWARNESS of who BLAK GUHL is as an artist.
