Her interest in singing began at the age of 2 when she first saw "The Sound of Music" on television. From that point on Catriona and her family knew it would be a long life of singing.

Catriona is the granddaughter of legendary Latin recording artist, Alberto Vazquez, who recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Latin Grammy Association.

Currently Catriona is writing much of her own music and perfecting her craft while learning guitar (acoustic and electric) and keyboards with a great deal of enthusiasm and passion.

Her latest song "I Need your Love" was written by Catriona with production and music by Asaf Fulks. This is her first original song to go public.

She recently went into the studio with Asaf and recorded the Spanish version, "Quiero Tu Amor" for her Spanish friends and fans.

Catriona is working on several original songs at the moment:

"Girls' Intuition" (Lyrics by Catriona and music by Jason)
"Trouble in Paradise", (Lyrics by Catriona and Music by Patrik Lorentzon).
"Insanity", pop/rock - Lyrics by Catriona and Music by Scott Silletta
"Deal" - Lyrics by Catriona (music is currently being composed)

She is homeschooled and has a very flexible schedule. She has a 4.0 GPA and has had over 600 hrs Recording studio time.

The closest people in her life are her mom and grandmother who have helped her go after her dreams, when it seemed financially impossible.
Catriona also has 3 wonderful siblings...Bernadette (7), Francis (6), and Sean Paul (4).

Catriona is currently considering an opportunity which would allow her to release a CD in Japan in the very near future - we will keep you posted!

Her first song, "Waiting for the Light" (Music by Thomas Appell & Lyrics by Linda Conti), is now available on iTunes.

Catriona is extremely grateful to Nextcat.com for featuring her on their homepage. She loves it here and already feels like one of the family.

To answer your question, my Ranch and Production Studio is indeed in Santa Barbara in North County overlooking La Purisima State Historic Park in the Wine Country where they filmed the movie "Sideways." Yes it is beautiful here (flower industry, wine growers, equestrian) and very temperate and pretty much Due North of you in Malibu (where I am from originally - Pacific Palisades/Santa Monica). Tue.
