Drifting in silence is an apt description of the feeling evoked by the music of American multi-instrumentalist and composer Derrick Stembridge. Shimmering ambience's driven by groove rhythms and punctuated by instrumental riffs and snatches of concrete sounds irresistibly create the sensation of movement through regions of light and shadow.

Stembridge electronically massages guitar, bass and keyboard passages to achieve his signature sound. Cuts on his current CD range from meditative tone poems to high-energy groove, as much at home on the dance floor as in the easy chair.
