Mark A. France began his professional film career in 1993 after he fatefully answered a want ad in a local newspaper to become an extra in an upcoming horror film called Blood Fever.  Initially a two-day stint, Mark met several native Michigan Special FX Artists who allowed him to assist with special fx on the set.  Blood Fever went on to be known as Mosquito (the first film directed by Gary Jones ), which can be seen quite frequently on the USA and Sci-Fi channels.

Since his introduction to being on set in 1993, Mark has worked on over 30 feature length and short films, written and directed his first feature and three shorts, plus spent many hours sharing his talents through various lectures and presentations.

Mark was also a part of the award winning team, Team With No Name, who recently took 2nd place at the 1st Annual Detroit Windsor International Film Festival 48 hour film competition with their film, The Aftermath.

Mark has also supplied seminars at Clarkston High School, Lakeland High School, Lake Orion High School, and Walled Lake Central High School for Special FX work in film, as well as giving seminars at the Thriller! Chiller! Film Festival for Special FX work in micro-cinema.
