WHAT IS THE INDIE BIBLE?
The Indie Bible was born out of the frustration I experienced as I attempted to find places to promote my first CD. What I needed was an up-to-date list of radio stations and publications that were willing to accept Independent music, but there were none to be found.
As I wasted HUNDREDS of hours wading through abandoned and outdated websites, it became quite clear that such a resource was needed. So, I gave it a shot.
The First Edition was a photocopied spiral bound book with a plain white cover. Even though its appearance was unimpressive, the feedback was amazing!
Now in its 8th Edition, the Indie Bible continues to grow! It still remains as the only resource totally dedicated to those artists that have recorded a CD or demo.
All 8,500 contacts listed in the 8th Edition are services that can and WILL help Recording Artists gain more exposure for their music.

David Wimble is a Singer/Songwriter from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Growing up, his early musical influences were The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Doors, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan and Jim Carroll.

Since his early days in grade school, David has had a passion for writing fiction and poetry. Looking back, he recalls that it was the "only time that the light came on. The rest of the time, I was in the dark!"

David continued to write through his teens and early twenties - becoming more of a poet than a songwriter. He says that "it's very important that when someone reads my lyrics that I'm giving their mind something to munch on. To me, having lyrics that stand on their own is essential."

His band, Big Meteor, put out their first CD in 2000. The CD, titled "Wild River," received rave reviews from around the world. "Wild River" features a wide blend of music ranging from Acoustic Rock to Blues to Old Time Country. To date, songs from the "Wild River" CD have been used in one made-for-TV movie and 50 television shows on networks such as NBC, A&E, MTV and VH1.

Even with the success of "Wild River," David has temporarily put his music career aside. He currently devotes all of his time to publishing The Indie Bible - an annual resource for independent recording artists - www.indiebible.com
