Award-winning songwriter and vocalist, Karisa Wilson combines smoky-yet-angelic vocals with roots music flavored guitar style for a refreshing and unique brand of Indie rock. Karisa performs either solo for a laid back, romantic feel, or with her 4-piece band for a more rockin' show. She released her debut album, Little Girl, in August of 2007, won to WYCE Jammy Awards for best new arist and best album, in 2008, and has begun touring nationally in 2009. Opening act appearances include Billy Bob Thornton, Sam Phillips, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Tim Reynolds, Talib Kweli, Toots and the Maytals and many others. In 2007, Karisa performed for President Barack Obama during a campaign event.
