I compose and produce my own solo work under the 'Idiophonic' moniker; original music inspired by punk, chanson, trip-hop and alt.rock. Somewhere between The Prodigy and The Smashing Pumpkins.
Idiophonic – Center Gai
When I'm not writing my own material, I like to remix other artists, DJ Electro, industrial and indie music and add my own spice to other artists material, or remix artists like Laughing Gravy and David Lawrie.
I recently provided vocals for a German House project 'Rhode'Stories' from acclaimed producer Lukas Greenberg. (www.myspace.com/lukasgreenberg) The track Fahrenheit reached #15 on the Beatport Deep House chart week beginning 12-11-07.
I've also recorded and produced a variety of live ensembles like the West Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra, Røyst, The Leeds College of Music Symphony Orchestra, and the Indian Percussion group Groovin' Ragas.
In 2007 my solo work was shortlisted for the London Tate Modern TateTracks prize in association with Myspace.
