Kevin Talley
Playwright
Austin, TX
Playwright of comedies and dramas for your sincere interest.

I am a playwright of both comedy and drama.  I can write full length, one act, or ten minute. This is where I begin to list my accomplishments: there are none worth mentioning at the moment.  I don't have list of great reasons to produce a play of mine. I simply love theatre, and have a passion for it.  I'll send you a sample of any scripts. If you want to produce one, will work something out.

My Comedies:

SCOTT GARWOOD IS A GREAT ACTOR- ONEACT- Young Hollywood actor preparing for the role of a lifetime, believing this his chance for real recognition. The play chronicles the hours leading to the filming of the movies climax scene.

THE WARRING GENTLEMEN-ONEACT- Two wealthy landlords in colonial America begin a feud over wedding plans and a horse.  In a Moliere style comedy romp the play leads to a battle royale ending, with all the brawls, fisticuffs, dueling pistols, and declarations of war you could ever want along the way. (Sample available.)

DEWGOODE'S RUN-FULL LENGTH- Marshall Dewgoode finds himself on the run to Cheyenne, Wyoming after his cousin, recently escaped from prison,  comes to him swearing to his innocents.  Pursued by a rogue bounty hunter, they have to out run the law, and find the man that set his cousin up.  (Needs revisions.)

 My Dramas:

CREATURES OF HABIT-FULL LENGTH- Sparked by the death of a small Texas town citizen, Dillon Gill finds himself back with a long lost best friend, and trying to rekindle his first love.  Throughout the play characters mend fences with fathers and friends, and attempt to break the cycles of abuse and emptiness.  This play examines the fear of change and progress in a small Texas town.  Not just relevant to a Texas crowd, this play will strike a cord with anyone with a small town in their heart. (Sample available.)
