"History is the essence of innumerable biographies." ~ Thomas Carlyle

Linda Alexander loves people. Everyone has a story to tell, and too many stories are lost without ever being told. She's on a campaign to change that -- story by story.

Linda's 5th published book, RELUCTANT WITNESS: ROBERT TAYLOR, HOLLYWOOD, & COMMUNISM, is the biography of Hollywood's Golden Era movie star, Robert Taylor, on the market in May of 2008. Taylor starred in films with all the leading ladies of his time, including: "Camille" with Greta Garbo, "Waterloo Bridge" with Vivien Leigh, and "Quo Vadis" with Deborah Kerr.

Taylor's involvement in the 1940s hysteria over communism in Hollywood forever branded him the ultra-conservative movie star to "name names." Linda's book finally sets the record straight.

Linda has 4 other published books: 2 biographies, THE UNPROMISED LAND and DOROTHY FROM KANSAS MEETS THE WIZARD OF X, and 2 novels of dark romantic suspense, UNTIL NEXT TIME and WEEKENDS IN NEW ENGLAND. A 1991 letter on psychological child abuse put her on the Oprah Show as a Featured Guest. She has freelanced for magazines such as "Spotlight" and "Soap Opera Update," and newspapers including "The Washington Times," "Frederick News Post," and "Baton Rouge Advocate."

Some of Linda's film & TV interviews: actors Jim Varney, Robert Stack, Michael Zaslow, and her teenage heartthrob, Michael Cole, from 1970s "The Mod Squad"; also, singers Gary Puckett, Tiny Tim, and others. An editor from a prominent New York publisher said about Linda's writing, "I felt . . . I was sitting in on a Barbara Walters interview."

Linda also does public speaking on a wide range of topics, including: Living Large With Lupus; Journaling To Heal Wounds; Bridging The Color Line (about mixed race genealogy); You Are Who You Say You Are: Online Imaging; writing, and, of course, Robert Taylor!
