The John Lennon Songwriting Contest recognized this band as one which lives up to it's title by selecting them as winners of the 2006 Session I competition for the electronic genre. Liquefaction's music is a soundscape that is electronically charged with diverse contrasts of surreal, dream-like emotion and intense industrial styles created to melt the listener into the world that is Liquefaction. They cater to themes beyond the norm by introducing metaphoric Sci-Fi/Fantasy characters and story lines into their music and live shows, comparing ideas of the Earth's abolishment with our own perception of the world outside ourselves. Delving deeply into the psyche of an actual earthling, feeling misplaced, awkward and uncertain.. you will not hear your generic love song, but rather an intense journey which most, if honest, can relate to.

Formed by Kindel, (front woman, synths, vocals, programming) and now featuring Sine, (synths, guitar & programming,) Liquefaction made it's debut in 2003 with the release of "Chrysalis." In 2004, they released their second Album,"Emerge." While mainly solo, Kindel has collaborated with artists from around the world, expanding the Liquefaction sound to new dimensions. Heavily influenced by bands like Pink Floyd and Depeche Mode, Kindel's main objective is to make her listeners think and feel. She longs to effect her audience with the passion which fuels her as a musician and as a fan of music.

"At times it could be compared with Android Lust but also Portishead and I may be crazy but Tori Amos. What also makes this a good release is that it is totally female fronted, written and composed, which is rare," says Gothx of Wet Works Zine. DJ M of Cyber Impact in Bologna, Italy states, "Another fine example of the electronic female music coming out from the underground!" And Jim Rosebrook, the director of the Recording Workshop, described Kindel as "The epitome of the future musician." Liquefaction will continue to grow in the scene, putting out more albums and hopes to eventually tour the world. Kindel shares her thoughts by saying; "Liquefaction is a dream come true for me. It challenges me creatively and gives me an indescribable satisfaction to see my audiences dance, cry and get pissed off right along with me. They really get what I'm doing and that's how I know I'm where I'm supposed to be."
