Linda L. McCroskey
Copy Editor
Huntington Beach, CA
writer (fiction, academic), senior editor, artist/painter, Ph.D. specializing in cultures, psychology, relationships/human nature, comedy

I am a professor with many interests. I conduct research, write, and present to academic audiences. This sounds dull until you realize that I then have to make the mundane come alive for adult audiences. Humor is the key (of course, you actually need to be funny). I also write humorous novels (most recent working title: "Mollusks and Other Crustaceans I've Dated"), under a pseudonym. Scriptwriters and actors interested in "connecting" with their audiences are welcome to contact me (you can get my editorial advice or we can run your 'work' by real audiences for feedback). I was raised, not dragged, in the mid-Atlantic US, but have lived/travelled/worked globally.

CommentThanx for the add. Things been really busy with me these days trying to get shit ready for a book signing in October. I am trying to get Tabloid Purposes IV done for this event and yes it does get insane. This is convention season don't cha know. (I can't believe I just said that -- spending too much time in MN.)

CommentI like the Shyamalan flicks. They may have some predictability, but just the raw emotion I get out of watching them is pretty unique amoungst filmmakers today. For the emotion factor though, it is all about Signs, masterpiece.

Commenthey linda. that's true. we are neighbors :)

"the jerk" was hilarious wasn't it??

and peter falk had a funny story one time. he was bunking with some guys one time, perhaps he might have been in service at the time, can't remember exactly, but in any case, he was bunking with some guys who didn't know him well, and at night one time, he had caught the attention of a fellow bunkmate, looking down at him from a top bunk. he thought he'd have some fun with him, so getting ready 4 bed, he removed his glass eye (since peter falk actually had one), then i think he said he removed some fake teeth or dentures. he noticed the other guy's eyes widen quite a bit. so then he started to twist his arm pretending to remove it, but that got the guy scared and he turned over in bed.

i bet he had a good laugh 2 himself about it.

CommentHi Linda,

Nice to make your acquaintance. I like the ponies too, keeping my eyes on the tote board...and...also the carousel ponies, a dying breed that needs revived, 6 revolutions per minute, the perfect pace to live life. Wishing you a very prosperous New Year. Let's stay in touch. Take care.

Warmly,

Sage
