Alan Fleming-Baird studied with composer Sir John Tavener at TRINITY COLLEGE,LONDON, then went on to study composition, part-time with Simon Bainbridge at the GUILDHALL SCHOOL OF MUSIC & DRAMA for a term before undertaking the undergraduate degree course at ROYAL COLLEGE OF MUSIC, studying compostion with Jeremy Dale Roberts, piano with Ian Lake, and (in seminar groups with Sir Peter Maxwell Davies and Brian Eno).He continued his studies on the film music course at the LONDON FILM SCHOOL and then on the advanced course at ROYAL SCOTTISH ACADEMY OF MUSIC AND DRAMA(RSAMD) studying composition with Gordon McPherson and was awarded a Fellowship from the NATIONAL COLLEGE OF MUSIC AND ARTS,LONDON.
