Lyle Howry comes from the "school of hard knocks" background. Born in Hollywood, California, he spent most of his younger years in five foster homes. When he turned 11 he was sent off to meet his mother in New Hampshire. At 14 he moved out on his own, working odd jobs and finding his way back to California to find the father he never knew. With help from his older sister he found his father and spent a couple of years with him before moving on.

Lyle Howry, a native of Hollywood, has over a 20 year association with the entertainment industry, including nine years in corporate finance, specializing in studio negotiations. Former C.E.O and President of Reliance, In 1999, he formed Reliance Film & Entertainment Productions, Inc. Through Reliance Film, he has collaborated with numerous production companies as well as produced feature films, directed live sporting events, negotiated two major cable deals that bring in a combined audience of some 80 million households and maintained the rights to a library with well over 400 hours of footage of the USA World Martial Arts Championship.Lyle's entertainment career began in 1985 as an actor on the award-winning television series Moonlighting. During his acting years, a side business led to the discovery that he had a passion for finance and a gift for packaging. 

This new direction took him to London, Hong Kong and Taiwan to close international finance and motion picture investment deals.He used his experience and contacts to executive produce Reggie's Prayer distributed by Arrow Releasing Inc. (1996), in which football legend Reggie White made his acting debut. The following year, he assisted pulling together the P/A funds for the award nominated feature film Warrior of Virtue distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) in (1997). Then in 1999, after forming Reliance Film, he met with renowned karate promoter Stan Witz and created a groundbreaking rights deal. Through his foresight, Lyle tied up a lucrative ten-year contract to exclusively cover the USA World Martial Arts Championships, the premier annual marital arts event. He parleyed this deal into multiple contracts with cable channels and built up his Film's stock footage library. 

Mr Howry also has a Video Distribution deal for sales in Major stores such as K-mart, Wal-Mart and large video venues. In 2000, Reliance Film moved into music videos and Mr Howry produced Won G's We Got What You Want, starring Carmen Electra. The next year, Lyle produced and directed the music video Cyrano (2001), and that same year he produced the independent thriller Seance, starring Adam West and Corey Feldman., he has also produced videos for Michael J. Young, the hip hop Artist X-yle and Country Western artist Steve Zuwala. More recently Lyle has produced Ultimate Kids Kombat and Ultimate Adult Kombat airing13 episode of each show prime time Staring November 22, 2007. Mr Howry is also currently in post production on several shows. In June of 2007, Lyle will once again direct and produce the USA World Martial Arts Championships event, which has been labeled "sports karate's greatest show on earth."
