please, read my blog on the topic.
(The short version is:  please do not just use the standard form, say something!)
Then, if you still want to, I'll be very happy to be one of your "connections".

>>>And since we're talking about the blog, there's one I'd like to have everybody's opinion on, it's called "working with a composer". Another one is Directors and last minute changes. Directors and such are especially welcome to comment.<<<

Many, many thanks to the staff here on NextCat for having me as "featured" composer for some weeks.
It's been a honor, a privilege and a pleasure. Thanks.

To get to the music scroll your page down! Or go to my website for more music (even one of my songs). Following, a short description of what you're going to listen to.

Il Risveglio (The Awakening) is a beautiful short film by Martin Patrice Ndong Eyebe. In the video here you can see the first two minutes, with some of the music I wrote.

Variazioni su un tema di Schumann, it's a series of short variations on a very popular piece by Schumann. You'll recognize the theme. Piano: Mark Latimer.

New Wine (orchestral version), it's just an instrumental version of an old choir piece I wrote a few years ago. You can tell it comes from a vocal piece, but there's some added value to it. It's not going to stay here for long, since there's some mistakes in it, please comment on it before I take it down.

Oh... forgot to mention... the first part is just the enunciation of the theme as it would be sung by a choir (there are woodwinds here instead). The real orchestral part comes after, so be a little patient.

Selezione,
title track from a fantastic short movie by the Italian Director Simone Andrizzi. Feedback appreciated!

Good Reason, my experiment in dance music. Feedback welcome!

Camelot (not the real title of the song) is one of several options for a commercial that was aired on national Italian TV. You'll find more on my website. The vocalist here is Arianna Berti (great voice).

I'm available for collaborations on: short movies, documentaries, commercials,
song writing (not a poet here!), etc. etc., just contact me.

"should never accept a job when the film is SO DAMN BORING that not even Beethoven could spice it up" (I said that myself, somebody found it funny so it's here)

About songs writing, here's what I mean:
before I get tired of composing songs, I'd like to work on one or two with some good lyrics. If there's any lyricist out there that would like her/his lyrics put into music, let's try to collaborate.
(quick update: I didn't know it was so difficult to find a lyricist!)

Since there's the gaming area... well I've never composed the music for a game... but I'd love to. Just give it a try, who knows.

I also have a profile on myspace. Even though I find NextCat to be more interesting and more focused, you may want to check it out. It's here, feel free to visit, add, send messages.

Feel free to ask for a connection on facebook (just say you're from NextCat, or I probably will not answer). I also have a "band" page on there, if you'd like to listen to some music. Click here for my facebook page.

Here is the link to get to my page at Trybehollywood. There's some different music on there.

There's a music player with different music on my page on TarHeel films:

Some of my classical/contemporary music is published on-line by Taukay, at www.taukay.it. I have two string quartets and a vocal (6 voices) piece there. It's free to join and download the scores.
Taukay is an on-line publisher of new music. They organize a very good contemporary music competition, and also do recordings and festivals. It's worth to spread the word about them.

A few samples of my music are on sale online at AudioMicro. If you need music for your project, or just for your own enjoyment, it's a great place to go.

Did I mention go to my website? You'll find more music and informations about my work.

CommentHi Mario,
I checked out your song! It sounds nice. It reminds me of when I used to sing in a Russian Restaurant in New York. It brings back a lot of memories. I enjoy listening to all of the nice and different sound. This piece is very unique! Keep up the good work and creativity. Have a blessed day! Elise

Commenthi Mario! Thanks for adding me to your connection. I just posted a song I wrote sometime ago and recorded it for fun and archiving. It is more of a demo quality I guess. I do write, but not prolifically. I wrote 3-4 songs just the last year or so...am too busy to sit down ;) Anyway, it´s more on the Christian side. But let me know what you think.
