Michael Holt and the Trophy 500’s are a dynamic mix of blues, big band swing, rock and roll influences from the 50’s and 60’s, and roots americana. They have quickly become one of Austin’s “must see” acts giving a breath of fresh air to the local blues scene. Michael Holt’s intensity on vocals and guitar coupled with Brad Fordham’s rockabilly roots rock and country background on the bass makes for a devastating front line duo! Lisa Pankratz steady groove and driving beat gives the foundation that makes this trio work to perfection.
Michael has been playing and entertaining crowds for 20+ years. He has played all over the United States, overseas, and can be found locally in Austin at The Continental Club, the Saxon Pub, and Antone's to name a few. Michael has shared the stage with piano great Pinetop Perkins, vocalist Spencer Thomas, pianist Nick Connolly, The Cobra's drummer Rodney Craig, slide player Harry Bodine, bassist Sarah Brown and W.C. Clark. Michael also plays guitar when time permits for Spencer Thomas and Mathew Robinson who is an Austin institution from the "eastside" Austin blues community.
