Buy this file: 3243049 CD August Ocean Overture> AVAILABLE NOW on Amazon & CDbaby &iTUNES - an Oceanic album of mysterious, delerious &  melodic piano solos layered with strings, choirs and in a few cuts beats.  Recorded while living on the East  coast of Florida during 2005-2007.  Music  that celebrates every  aspect of the  our Oceans; from its  abyssal depths, to its BIG-WAVES, to its gentle Seabreezes and  its laid -back days.

Besides piano tracks, there are some blues, a smooth jazz track of electric guitars, synthesizers in a mellow mood that changes tempo many times. There is also a massive processed Electric Guitar solo in many ways recalling Pat Metheny's 1994 CD: "Secret Story" This track is called ORION CALLING and intones the Sea at night under stars far from land.

This unique CD ends with the only Jazz-vocal song on the album entitled THE DEEP ABYSS complete with Digital only keyboards, bass, drums, guitar. Lyrics  are printed on the CD jacket and HERE IN THIS BLOG.

Influences: 60's & 70's from C. Corea, K. Jarrett to Pat Metheny/L. Mays to 1980s to 1990s New Age music and artist: some I like are: David Arkenstone, G. Winston, others especially Native American influenced New Age artists. Very influenced by mid 90's emerging COUNTRY artists like Mary Chapin Carpenter, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, many of the country singers coming out at that time (ca. 1995) influenced my songwriting of last decade, still not released. BUT of course my piano playing and recording has taken priority. My Instrumental music remains grounded in jazz/classical/new age but often has a country feel and blues-twist to the piano lines I was a Music Theory/Composition major in college of ca. 1979. Have love of 20th century classical composers and have studied many scores Spent the period 1994-1999 studying orchestration (informally) and writing orchestral/digital sampled string/orchestra works. Composed & Recorded SYMPHONY ON NATIVE AMERICAN THEMES (Symphony One) 1995-96, revised in 1999. Both digital recording (by me, the composer) and scored for orchestra. Currently painstakingly slow but inputting to Notation Software. My currently recorded music is quite capable of being used in FILM, MOVIE, VIDEO Backgrounds but it is ALL Copyrighted. Please contact. I have never however scored for an active film in a major studio. GOALS: 1. Publishing my bulk of Songs up to now, Recording Demo CDs of them with competent vocalists 2. Putting together a club/cafe style gig of some of the music on my instrumental CDs and possibly finding TRIO backup musicians for that (bassist, drummer, possibly guitarist)
