Movies on a Big Screen is an ongoing film festival/microcinema that started in September of 2006 in Sacramento, CA.

We show independent films, documentaries, shorts, host community based special events and on occasion have late night audience participation screenings. Many screenings have had filmmakers and guest speakers in attendance for Q&A. We do digital projection onto a large screen (not a big screen TV). Most seating is on folding chairs and some are even padded! But please feel free to bring in a cushion or pillow. We don’t give out awards in the "traditional" festival sense, but any filmmaker in attendance is welcome to one free can of Pabst (by request).

Our new location!  600 4th St in West Sacramento.  This is on the corner of 4th & F in West Sacramento -- *just* over the river, so nearly in downtown Sacto.  It's the old ILWU hall.
