A Diamond In The Rough, Norma Jean is a very unique and undiscovered talent just waiting for that one big break with a major director! Wow, talk about creative, busy, and professional!!

Born in Camden, New Jersey and raised in Watertown, New York, Norma Jean grew up as a typical small town girl. Her mother actually named her after Marilyn Monroe because she wanted her daughter to be star. You can imagine a mother's horror when at age four, Norma Jean had a terrible accident with scissors and suffered near blindness in her left eye.

Just a year later, with the strength of a locomotive, she became interested in dance to overcome her obstacle. Her mother enrolled her in ballet at age five. Little did her mother know, this gift of dance would not only evolve into tap, jazz, creative and ballroom, but would transcend itself into many other art-related interests. During her childhood, Norma Jean played the piano, the flute, and the clarinet. She was in her high school band as color guard and majorette. She also won many USFSA (United States Figure Skating Association) badges, learned to roller skate, snow ski, water ski and operate a snowmobile.

After high school graduation, she held down three jobs and began to live on her own. She got back into the performing arts and tried her hand at Community Theater. In two years (and with no formal acting training) she performed in lead roles in four major productions with Little Theater of Watertown.

Later, she would attend college and earn an Associates Degree in Administrative Assistance and later a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. For her amazing efforts in college both academically and culturally, she was awarded both the Wall Street Journal Award for Outstanding Business Student and a spot in the Who's Who.

Today, Norma Jean's future remains very busy and bright. As Sales Director for Synapse FX, a Hollywood-Based Practical and CGI effects company, she works ferociously from home and the road to secure her company projects in major films, tv, and live stage. With a successful career in the art of Stand-Up Comedy, she not only performs as herself, but brings her mother to the stage in a character called "Bev," which has left audiences howling with rave reviews.

An original theme song written by famous Hollywood Icon, Count Smokula has also been written but not yet released. Through her stand-up material, she intends to deliver big messages on ridding stereotypes of alternative lifestyles, acceptance, honesty, motivation, love and ridiculous behaviors in relationships and society in general. The material is raw, funny, thought-provoking and definitely hits home!

Norma Jean is a strong advocate against Domestic Violence, being a survivor herself, she fully intends to develop a strong voice on a national level.

"Comedy Assault on Battery" - a nationally-planned show to benefit victims of Domestic Violence.  

*Marketing Director for Constructs of Ritual Evolution, better known as CoRE - a flesh suspension troupe that will blow your mind!

*On-call performer for Al Ridenour's incredible, "The Art of Bleeding."

*Stars regularly in remakes of Broadway Musicals and weekly Cabaret Shows with Costa Mesa's own Starlight Theater, and studies voice under its director, Mrs. Deborah Hayes.

*Co-Organizer of the LA/OC Comedy Meetup Group (headed by fellow comedienne, Celeste Davis) where she gives back to the community through volunteerism, sponsoring writing groups and attending charity events.

Norma Jean also does extra work in movies and television and Emcee's Private and Corporate Events including Weddings, Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties, Birthday Parties and Charity Events. She also does voice over work for commercials, telephone systems, shopping centers, major retailers, etc.

Norma Jean has a unique look and is definitely well rounded. You will find her kind, witty, fun and playful with her audience, and probably one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. She's got class, charm, elegance, and heart, not to mention 15 voice accents!

It's been said in the hollywood circles that she's a clear combination of Lauren Graham, Sandra Bernhard, and Stockard Channing.

Well, until now, the only things worth mentioning from Watertown were the original Five and Dime, Car Freshener Trees, Richard Grieco, Mary Margaret Humes and Supermodel Maggie Rizer. Now Watertown can add someone else to its list.
