









Arnold King has toiled extensively in theatre for the past 8 years, working as a lighting technician, lighting designer, scenic painter, stage hand and stage manager. He recently functioned as the lighting designer for the American Premieres of Conviction at the Rubicon International Theatre Festival in Ventura, CA and Pedro and the Captain at the Boulder Fringe Festival.
Arnold served as Assistant Technical Theatre Teacher and Technical Director within the Gateway High School Theatre Department in Aurora, Colorado. There he taught students the fundementals of technical theatre for two years.
With Rhino Staging, Arnold served as a Stage Hand for several rock concerts, including those of Weezer; the Foo-Fighters; Floetry; Queen Latifah; Erica Badu and Paul McCartney.
At the Community College of Aurora (CCA), he served as Theatre Technician and Light Designer for two years, participating in 30 musical, dance and theatrical productions. Within CCA, Arnold initiated the theatre department's student director program and co-founded the arts organization Center Stage Arts where he staged two readings of his original script The Final Mile [to Providence].
Throughout Denver, Arnold has worked with the Subversive Intelligence Theatre Company; Hunger Artists Ensemble; Industrial Arts Theatre Company; Theatre Du Quirque; Paper Cat Theatre Company; Chasm View Productions; Evergreen Players , The Avenue Theatre; the brand-new Uncorked Productions; Firehouse Theatre Company; Maya Productions and Brooks Center Arts.
Arnold King is a member of the Colorado Theatre Guild (CTG) and was an active participant of the CTG's New Venture Series. He spends his daytime hours working as a warehouse manager and set technician for Decor 'N More, Inc.

Set in a boardinghouse in 1911 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this human drama deals with a time in American history when the sons and daughters of recently freed slaves journeyed to the booming industrial cities of the North in search of prosperity, a new way of life, and, essentially, their own identities. Directed by Jeffrey Nickelson, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, deals with a number of issues, including the unseen scars of slavery, the differences between religion and spirituality, and the struggles of beginning a new life, and the importance for all Americans to find and understand their historical roots.
