| Jeff Priskorn Actor Troy, MI I may be a fool, but it's merely acting!
Jeff Priskorn is an actor, writer, director and producer based in southeast Michigan. He is proud to have won two awards for Love & Plutonium, his debut as a feature film director: "Best Feature Film" at the Twisted Spine Micro Film Festival and the "Filmrunner Choice Award" from Filmrunner.net. Love & Plutonium is a superhero romantic comedy which Jeff co-wrote with his wife Jacquie Floyd, and also produced and starred in.
2008 was an extremely productive year for Jeff, seeing him appear in numerous films and TV and radio commercials. He portrayed the hapless lead character in Mike Allore's short film The Next Step, which won "Best of the Fest" at the Forster Film Festival in Australia. In addition, he won a lead role in Richard James' feature Shadow of Crime, playing an unemployed auto worker who robs the mob. He also appeared in the short film Patterns, a gritty con-job tale from writer/director Cate Caldwell, and Harmless Thoughts, a sci-fi drama from veteran director Gary Bosek. Keep A Baby, in which Jeff played a father who must travel cross-country to win back his kidnapped son, premiered in September 2008 in Grand Rapids, and Harmless Thoughts premiered in October 2008 in Birmingham.
On the commercial side in 2008, Jeff (along with wife Jacquie) appeared in TV and print ads for Comcast in the Chicago market. Additionally, he can be heard as the voice of Little Caesars, 3-Way Chevrolet in Bakersfield, CA, and Flame Furnace, to name a few.
In 2009, Jeff will star in The Guest Room, a heartwrenching short film about handling the loss of a child. Written by Jacquie, it promises to be Jeff's most dramatic role to date. He will also appear in Ray Jaward's The Unforgiven, playing a psychopathic crime boss. In addition, 2009 will see the continuation of Nathan Quinn’s Terra saga and other related projects.
Jeff co-owns Loose Change Entertainment (LCE), a production company with three completed films under its belt (Arbor Daze, Love & Plutonium and Weenie Roast Massacre), and several others in various stages of production (Probejackers, Cold Dead Hands, True Extremes). LCE has also completed a TV pilot entitled Incorporated, a comedy series about small business. Weenie Roast Massacre was recently picked up for distribution by Echelon Studios, and is available for rental on NetFlix.
Jeff has appeared on stage in musicals, plays and improv groups all over Michigan as well. A founding member of the award-winning sketch comedy show, Loose Change, Priskorn penned and directed numerous sketches and anchored the on-camera cast for over 10 years. He has recently appeared on stage in Proof, in the role of Hal at Grosse Pointe Theatre, and Working Stiffs, an original play by Michigan playwright Edward J. Thomas.
He also fronts two bands: Curious Jack and Mad Rabbit. Curious Jack is a radio staple in Detroit, having written a myriad of sports and issue-related parodies and theme songs for Detroit's #1 afternoon radio show, Stoney & Wojo, on WDFN. Curious Jack recently learned that their music will be featured in an upcoming display at the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame. Mad Rabbit is an energetic, wacky and raucous rock and roll band which plays to packed houses in bars and clubs all over Michigan. They are proud to be the only band in Michigan sponsored by Zodiac Vodka. His former band, Elixir, released an album entitled Love Goes Boom in 2005.
Jeff is married to actor and writer Jacquie Floyd. The couple currently resides in Troy, Michigan.
