Building stories to engage the imagination.

I love to create. No, I'm not God, but to create a story that works is exciting. That's what I love to do. So, I work on that much of the time I have. Predominately in the speculative fiction market: sci-fi and fantasy.

I'm published in several webzines with both short stories and poetry. You can see an up-to-date list on my author's website as well as keeping abreast of my progress at my blog.

I also have a book coming out (any week now) of novella length called Infinite Realities through Double-Edged Publishing, Inc. I've also written two and a half novels, one of which I'm in the middle of some serious editing. And being the crazy guy I am, I'm also participating in National Novel Writing Month again this year (2007) and am writing a sequel to Infinite Realities, but a full novel length story.

Aside from that fun, I also have spent time as an editor at The Sword Review and am currently the managing editor at Haruah: Breath of Heaven, a mainstream/literary on-line/print magazine. But, because I love space opera, I also do a monthly podcast in association with the on-line magazine Ray Gun Revival, which is called, Ray Gun Radio. Each month we read a story from the magazine, interview the author, listen to music, and I get to produce my own crazy form of entertainment.

In my attempt to make money, though, I've also broke into the tech writing field, and I have experience in bookkeeping, QuickBooks, website design, php applications, and general computer/software/network integration.

Thanks.

CommentI know that authors like to dive more into space opera when they write Science Fiction, but I find it more fun to do the cyberpunk style becuase it seems more plausible (when you think about it -- it's our future.)

There is a book ou there I think you might like but I haven't read the thing yet but it is titled My Science Fiction Autobiography which I found on Lulu.com. It was a science fiction novel written from the perpective of the 1960s looking at the 1990s from that past. It was sort of an alternate history science fiction story.

CommentThanx for hte add man -- I am a science fiction author but I don't do the space opera style because I think there are way too many out there in this style but not enough doing the modern setting. What I write as far as sciecne fiction owes a lot to Philip K. Dick than to George Lucas. For your mag -- will they consider stories in the vein of THX? (that's the gritty science fiction story that Lucas did.)
