Dean P. Wells
Screenwriter
London, England , GBR
Screenwriter - available for hire

Dean's been writing for 6 years now, but only seriously for the last 3, during which time he's had one option agreement, made the finals of The Writers Place International Screenwriting Competition, completed a screenplay revision (to be credited), and is currently in talks with an agent. In terms of screenwriting, he's just getting started.

Having a passion for writing since childhood, and a love for films, Dean developed a skill for screenwriting and has never looked back since - he loves it!

His inspiration is drawn from music. He says, "Once my
imagination is tuned into musical vibrations, an arrangement of scenes can be brilliantly crafted into a storyline that flows like a violinist's bow." Needless to say his music files are fully loaded.

Most memorable quote:

"Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we often might win by fearing to attempt." - The Governor (the genius who shook a spear)

CommentOh-k! Gotta get used to this interface. I'll give them a look as soon as I get a chance (probably when I get to London, since right now I'm finishing off what I have left in New York). So about where I am in London, I'm not even there yet (will be there 3rd September), but I'm pretty sure I will also be in North London (at least for now).
I will get back with you as soon as I'm finished reading your stuff (don't hesitate if it takes a while).

CommentThanks a million, Dean! I found what I was looking for right after I posted the Q. Vacuform! I was a second away from making a million calls to the UK! Turns out that's what they use for theatre.

Thanks again!

CommentThings are going well, Dean!

How goes it for you?

btw. I've heard tale of a production design material used in the UK to fabricate wall facades. It was described to be as a plastic material laid onto a facade then heated to mimic the shape. Do you or anyone know what it is and who make it. Supposedly the company has a large catalog that I would like to get a hold of for a project. Any info would help! and be most appreciate!!

CommentI'm horrible at karaoke--you are a brave and foolish man. Last weekend I was shooting a short film up in San Francisco. The director had a moment of horror himself--we were shooting a shot of my co-actor crashing through a sliding glass door. Hence, two very expensive panes of breakaway glass. One shot of the glass break worked until the boom operator put the mike in the shot and while setting up for the second one, the second pane of glass slipped and shattered ending our dreams of second shot of him running through the glass. Oh my heart broke.

CommentHi Dean,
Thanks...My first film was based on a Ray Bradbury short, which is great because it was a good story and I could just concentrate on making it without worrying about writing a good story - so always interested in working with writers - trying to do it all can be a strain...

cheers,
Ravi
