My name is Cyril Augustin and I am an actor, obviously. Haha.. Anyway I created this page to connect more with people in the entertainment industry. When I'm not acting, you will usually find me sitting in front of my computer writing a screenplay or tv show script or behind the camera, directing; among other things. My first love and passion has always been acting. Since I was a little kid I've always wanted to be an actor. I can still remember sitting in front of the tv, as a kid, and watching a Jackie Chan film (The Drunken master) and saying to my dad, "I wanna be just like him when I grow up." And now, I'm getting there. I mean, I'm not big and famous or anything, but I've been blessed to be able to be in a few great productions. People always ask me why do I want to be in a business that doesn't guarantee a steady paycheck and I tell them, "It's not about the money for me. It's about doing something that you love doing. About doing something that you are passionate about and that makes you happy." I also love entertaining people. Whether by making them laugh or by making them cry. As long as I know I've touched them, emotionally, through my work, then I'm happy. I've been acting, now, for about 8 years. Still fairly new, but through this business I've met a lot of great and talented people. People who have helped me through the good and bad times as well as people who I've been able to help. I studied acting for years at the Zarro Acting Academy in Virginia. I learned so much there and have been able to take what I've learned and pass it on to other aspiring actors. I hope to continue working in this business and I look forward to meeting new friends and contacts through Nextcat.

I've also established an independent production company, Silent Edge Films, back in 2004 after graduating from the Zarro Acting Academy. My first love/passion is for acting, but it wasn't until after I watched Balistic: Ecks vs Sever that I wanted to learn all about directing. That's when I began my one on one training with an Academy Award winning director at ZAA. I've worked on several short films for other directors before deciding to branch off on my own. I'm a fan of all genres of films, but I am an even bigger fan of Action and Horror films. Although we are an independent film company we push ourselves to produce Hollywood like movies, combining the far Eastern style of filmmaking with the West coast style of filmmaking. We are currently based in the Virginia area, but soon we will be relocating to California where we hope to continue the success of Silent Edge Films.
