The pulsing heartbeat of music began in the foot... Moving its way up the body... Slowly taking over the brain like a drug one cannot simply shake the habit of... It began as a child, in the passenger seat of a Porsche 944 Turbo on its way to a music festival in the heart of downtown Pittsburg, Pennsylvania USA. The roaring engine with the windows down... And the music... CRANKED ALL THE WAY UP!

SimplyJason™ is exploding onto the music industry through many avenues... His latest projects involve remixes for Total Wipes Productions out of Milan, film score projects slated for 2007 & 2008, and fall 2007 will also see his label Intents Records hitting the market with multiple releases already lined up... Listeners will also be able to tune in to his podcast that will entertain, not only with sound, but unique video footage along a journey that is SimplyJason™

Remixes produced by SimplyJason™ are progressive with a touch of hard tribal, while some of his own projects are dark & moody techno, allowing him to blend soundscapes far reaching into many genres, and all culminating on the dancefloor in an emotional roller-coaster of enlightenment! His skills are reminiscent of a past in the industry, as a cultivated & consummate professional with an ear for crowd response. Performances by SimplyJason™ are to be experienced in person, where one is able to bear witness to the intricacies of this talented individual... And… Not to be missed!

His experience in Film as a Sound Effects editor for 7 years (both feature & documentary) allowed SimplyJason™ to develop his sound design capabilites... This is what led to the true sound that is now recognizable as SimplyJason™... SimplyJason™ spends much of his time re-sampling his own loops, and layering his sounds with such depth that after listening through a complete mix, the listener is able to hear different sounds within each experience... This is the unique sound quality found in creations of SimplyJason™. With each opportunity to listen to a complete set composed by SimplyJason™ the listener is able to grasp the depths within this creative mind...

Having researched both the psychology of sound and the influences on brain patterns in relation to pattern and frequency response, allow the productions of SimplyJason™ to take the listener on a journey through dancefloor music. Newer projects under SimplyJason™ focus on the future development of these exposures and intertwine the approaches of his earlier material under the artist THISguythatGUY in a new direction. There exists a master-plan that will be exposed in the next decade, when the world is ready for a evolution... Technology has finally caught up… The only question that remains is... Are the people prepared to be astounded...

The history of SimplyJason™ stems from 1998, when he began to build a studio with only a 4mb Akai Sampler and a compressor. He began by releasing a minimal CD under the artist "THISguythatGUY". Since that point, SimplyJason™ has spent the last few years honing his skills in both the analogue (48trk studio) and digital (Logic & Pro Tools) realms. During this period of time, SimplyJason™ left the music scene all together and was found years later hibernating in a studio with an incredible stockpile of music. The decided leave from the scene was prompted by what seemed to be a falling market in Canada, as the parties were pushed into the clubs, limiting access to a large portion of the music's market... It was a thinking time for SimplyJason™, and much went through his mind before a return to the scene, including, but not limited to, obtaining a degree from University, and his career in film...

This "history" of SimplyJason™ in electronic music began as a DJ in 1989. After meeting two lads from London England while vacationing in Orlando Florida, he began playing Breakbeat & Drum & Bass. These two individuals (Raymond & Damian) traveled from Orlando to Clearwater for the better part of the week to become very close friends. After returning to Toronto, SimplyJason™ discovered a parcel of records in the mail, and later received many more which truly motivated him to develop his mixing skills. And this, is where the electronic music began to inspire him...

Several years later, and moving into house and techno after being introduced to DJ Bliss (Switch Records & Plus 8 Recording Artist), SimplyJason™ found his calling... Spending much time learning his new genre with Bliss, and also doing some work in the studio with Himadri (Switch Records Owner) allowing for a broader perspective of influences than his initial roots... SimplyJason™ spent many years working on his DJ skills, and learning from his mentor DJ Bliss… There is a subtlety that exists in the performances from SimplyJason™ that are masterful, speaking to the listener with experience, and ever-evolving movements of a spiritual sound designer!

SimplyJason™ is currently working with Total Wipes Productions as a Remix/Producer. With one album release in 2006 on Total Wipes, and eight (12) remixes released in 2007, SimplyJason™ is quickly becoming a well-known Producer the world over!
