Randy began his foray into the music business as a demo recording engineer for a Nashville-based jingle production companywhile still a college student. He honed his skills in Music City while working with some of the world’s greatest musicians, producers and artists such as Trisha Yearwood, Travis Tritt, Brenda Lee, Michael Martin Murphy, Amy Grant, dc Talk, and Peabo Bryson. After developing as a free-lance recording engineer, Randy accepted a position with Crawford Communications and broadened his skill sets to include post audio as well as music recording. While working there, Randy edited and mixed promos and commercials for CNN, TNT, TBS, Turner Classic Movies, Cartoon Network, Tribune Creative Services mixing Earth Final Conflict, Hercules, Xena, Mutant X, and Andromeda, LAPTV and various advertising agencies. Also, Randy developed a creative, working relationship with Reid Hall and in 1993 the duo began creating original music for Crawford clients and many others. Randy was also part of the mixing and foley team for the CBS/MGM television production, In the Heat of the Night, mixed the NBC Sports 1996 Olympic Preview Show with Bob Costas and has won several industry awards. Since opening SLAM!, Randy has continued to grow his skills from craftsman to artist, understanding the difference between avoiding mistakes and using them to create unexpected works of art. | Randy Garmon's
