Slava received his Bachelor Degree in Contemporary Writing and Production from Boston’s renowned Berklee College of Music, where he was a scholarship student. Slava Tolstoy has written songs for various artists in the US and Europe (Gospel Recovery Singers, Norm Douglas, Rasul Z., Geni, ). Recently his music was featured in the movie "Halcyon". He was also among the finalist in the latest USA Songwriting Competition with his song "Single Woman". His style ranges from RnB/urban to pop-rock, from AC to singer songwriter, from neo soul to gospel. Recently Slava had a pleasure of working in San Francisco with a talented singer J.Fishot and a Grammy winning violinist Mads Tolling. In June 2006 Slava recorded world famous drummer Kenny Aronoff in NYC for an upcoming CD of Rasul Z. Currently Slava is producing two aspiring artists: singer songwriter from Europe Rasul Z. and virtuoso performer Geni.
