Biography:
__________________________________________________________________________
I first met Bob Martin of Animated Effects in 1990. I was impressed by Bobs experience in film and haunted houses, including the films F/X, Tales from the Darkside, and C.H.U.D.. I quickly joined Bob as his apprentice to learn the craft. After a year, I became a full member of his company and worked with him side by side for the next seven years. During my time with Bob, I improved my skills, and Animated Effects developed a new sense of realism in its entertainment work.
During this time, I had the chance to work on a wide range of entertainment projects which demanded a broad base of skills. These included independent films, television commercials, stage productions, haunted attractions and animated holiday miniature scenes.
I was also able to work with great talents in the entertainment industry as well. These included Gunnar Hansen (Leatherface), Kane Hodder (Jason), Linda Blair (Exorcist), Tom Savini (master of splatter effects), and Albert Alfaro (fantasy sculptor). All of these persons helped to mold and increase my talents.
After this time, I went out on my own as an independent artist and project consultant. After a brief hiatus, I have returned to effects work and the thrill of entertainment. I have taken my skills to a new scale, and founded Scott Eggleston Studio.
