BethanY is a well-established vocalist and lyricist from Detroit, Michigan who found that she had an affinity to music by the age of three.  Along with a voice (and even a look) often compared to that of Fiona Apple, comes something very definitive that clearly sets the two apart.  BethanY’s driving devotion to music has lead her to create a sound which is haunting yet beautiful, heavy but melodic, and full of lyrics that suggest a deep insight into something powerful, ethereal, and worth discovering.

BethanY Has been the voice for numerous bands, most markedly the Detroit-based band sylvex (‘Good Mourning’ in 2000 and ‘PowerAnxietyIllusion’ in 2001), and the Orange County, California-based band heroine. (2004’s ‘minus the elation.’). sylvex created a local buzz with shows throughout the Detroit area and heroine. Went on to receive rave reviews from the website ‘The Grrrl Network’ based out of Los Angeles, California.  BethanY continues to write and record with various members of the aforementioned bands and today offers up the ep ‘days & counting’.  Vocally, ‘days’ leaves a familiar taste in your mouth, but this time with a hint of vulnerability in the performance. BethanY’s delivery is nothing short of immaculate.
