The story of THE TALKIES began in 2003 when Bjoern Eilen, vocalist, guitar player and songwriter, moved from Osnabrueck to Frankfurt/Main to start his career as a professional musician. Bjoern did this in a very, very small room in an old building in Frankfurt City. While living for his passion in a space that was barely 9 square meters, he knew this was the way to be one with his music . On most nights, Bjoern would lie down and try to sleep, but couldn't. On one particular night, Bjoern took his guitar and did what he always did when he couldn’t sleep late at night - he started to play some tunes. That night he wrote a song that was the beginning of THE TALKIES. These tunes changed his life the night he created a song called "Runaway Child".Bjoern has always been one of those songwriters that loves simple songs with a message of love and freedom, just like "Step Into My Dream" and "Anytime".
