I love life and I love art. Film is the greatest artisic expression to me. I'm originally from Queens, New York, and have lived in NC for quite a while. I visited a friend of mine once over the summer some years back. He was into film, and so, decided to take me to a small film school in Manhattan. From then on, I've been hooked.

In pursuit of mastery in this field, I've taken up theatre as a means of better understanding the process of acting. I was talking with a friend of mine who's got years of experience as an actor, with a Masters of Fine Arts to boot. He was griping about how some people see acting as the easiest thing in the world to do, because so many working actors make it look easy. In truth, it's hard work that requires a strong ethic to truly give it your all. Being able to place yourself in the mind of the character you are portraying and incorporate the relationships that character has with the others in the film/play take time and focus. I'm still learning, and eager to learn more.

I also have several years experience behind-the-scenes, holding several jobs like P.A., script supervisor, boom-op, gaffer, camera asst., camera operator, editor, media director, and writer. Sometimes doing more than one at a time. Many of these positions have been with television projects, stations, and TV shows, all based locally in the Triangle. I Love It All!

My true joy is directing, with several theatrical productions under my belt. My hope is that with the experience I've gained both in front of and behind the camera, in each stage of production, I'll be the best director I can be. In 2008, I will direct my first short film based on a screenplay I've written. Several people have read it, and liked it. I feel 2008 will truly be a great year to come.

I have to give all the credit for this to the Man Upstairs. I know I wouldn't be where I am without Him. I'm a Christian, having given my life to Jesus Christ. Not the greatest example sometimes, but I'm still growing. We are all only human.
