“The Gift”

            Born November 30^th1973 in Norfolk, VA. Ray Nesbitt (The Gift) had no idea what journey God had in store for him.

            Though his natural birth brought him in to a home filled with violence, poverty, and social dysfunction, it was the summer of 1998 in Cleveland Tennessee that Ray Nesbitt would be born again into a new life that would open his eyes and cause him to see his past as a necessary occurrence to bring him right where God wanted him.

            After his new birth, God led him to sit under Pastor Bob Malone at Church Alive Ministries in Cleveland; TN. Pastor Malone guided Ray Nesbitt as he began to build this new relationship with his heavenly Father.

            It was the year 2000 when Ray Nesbitt accepted the call to minister for the Lord. Not knowing exactly how God wanted to use him, he was instructed by the Holy Spirit to close himself off from radio or television for the next two years. It was during this time, the Holy Spirit began to touch his tongue to deliver the word of God with lyrics instead of preaching with mere words.

            God gave Ray Nesbitt a word, and then he gave him a name, “The Gift” and began to use his knowledge of the word and his desire to win souls as the key to the ignition of the lyrical anointing He put on his life.

            “The Gift” then began to take pen to pad and write and record Hip Hop lyrics that would bring men to their knees.

            In 2007 “The Gift” along with his wife, and their three children, relocated to the Washington, DC area. Here they joined VCMI under Pastors Tony & Cynthia Brazelton. It was here that “The Gift” would begin his ministry and record his debut album “The Pregnant Man”.

            “The Pregnant Man” is an anointed work that guides the non-believer as well as the new-born babe through the journey from infancy to adulthood.
